About the Role: FashioNica is seeking an Authentication Specialist to join our Merchandising Team. In this hands‑on role, you will inspect, verify, and authenticate high‑value luxury items to ensure accuracy and integrity before they reach our customers. Given the nature of our products, exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of brand authentication standards are essential. Responsibilities: Assist in inspecting and authenticating luxury products across multiple categories (handbags, jewelry, watches, and accessories) using internal processes and reputable authentication platforms. Verify brand‑specific details such as materials, hardware, date codes, serial numbers, and packaging under established company guidelines. Support the identification and documentation of potential counterfeit or altered items; elevate findings to senior team members as needed. Learn and stay current on authentication techniques, brand updates, and market trends through training and resources. Ensure all items meet company quality and condition standards before listing. Accurately input authentication results and item details into internal systems. Collaborate with the Merchandising and Marketing teams to support smooth product flow from intake to publishing. Maintain an organized, secure, and professional workspace for handling high‑value items. Participate in training sessions and contribute insights or process improvements as knowledge grows. Other duties as assigned and as business needs evolve. What We’re Looking For: No prior authentication experience required. Training on devices, systems, and brand standards will be provided. Experience in luxury retail, resale, or fashion operations is a plus. Strong organizational skills Familiarity with designer brands and handbag styles (or eagerness to learn quickly!)
