Bowers + Kubota (B+K) is a 100% employee-owned corporation providing quality Architectural/ Engineering Design, Planning, Construction Management, and Program/Project Management services across the State of Hawaii. We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead and execute a wide range of projects under the MIL-CON program, including new construction, repair, renovation, and maintenance for the US Navy, US Army, and US Air Force. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects from simple to complex, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and compliance with military standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure for military installations. Manage project development from conception through completion. Coordinate with military personnel and contractors to deliver projects that meet MIL-CON program requirements. Ensure project feasibility through analysis of technology, resource availability, and government regulations. Prepare, review, and update project reports and documentation. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and support staff.

EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Minimum of 5 years experience in civil engineering, with specific experience in military construction (MIL-CON). Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) design criteria and military construction standards. Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Ability to work in diverse environments and adhere to strict security protocols.
