Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Join a fast-paced Emergency Department team at a respected Level III Trauma Center in Amarillo, TX. Were seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to work 10-hour night shifts with rotating weekends in a full-time, direct hire role.
In this position, you'll provide hands-on pharmaceutical care in high-acuity emergency settings. From trauma response to medication reconciliation and patient education, you'll be on the front lines, working closely with physicians, nurses, and critical care teams to ensure optimal medication management.
What Youll Do:
Participate in emergency situations (stroke alerts, cardiac arrest, sepsis response)
Assess critically ill patients and collaborate on treatment plans
Provide evidence-based medication remendations
Monitor and respond to adverse drug reactions
Serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and supervise techs
Support quality improvement and clinical research initiatives
What Youll Need:
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program
Active Texas Pharmacist license
BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (or pleted within 90 days)
PGY1 residency with emergency/critical care experience or equivalent ED/ICU experience
PGY2 in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care strongly preferred
