Job Title: EVS Tech/Housekeeper

Pay:

1st Shift: $15.50/hr

2nd Shift: $16.40/hr

3rd Shift: $16.60/hr

Job Description

Join our team as an Environmental Services Technician and play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment within our medical center. You will be responsible for the deep cleaning of non-occupied patient rooms, ensuring they are thoroughly disinfected and prepared for the next occupancy. This includes flipping mattresses, making beds, and handling linens. You will also clean isolation rooms, adhering to strict safety measures and utilizing protective gear such as gowns and masks.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep cleaning of non-occupied patient rooms, including disinfecting surfaces and flipping mattresses.
• Make beds and handle linens, placing them in a heavy bag to be disposed of properly.
• Clean isolation rooms following strict safety protocols, including thorough mopping and disinfecting.
• Interact with patients, nurses, doctors, and the housekeeping team, providing excellent customer service.
• Adhere to hospital guidelines regarding attire and fragrances.

Essential Skills

• Strong attendance record and punctuality.
• Reliability and ability to work required hours and shifts.
• Excellent communication skills for interactions with patients and staff.
• Exceptional customer service skills, particularly in challenging situations.
• Physical ability to lift 50lbs and push 200lbs.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in hospital or hotel cleaning/housekeeping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Direct experience in hospital settings.

Work Environment

This position involves working primarily on your own, making self-motivation and initiative crucial. The hospital environment requires adherence to specific dress codes, including no facial piercings, covered tattoos, and no heavy fragrances. The shift is from 3PM to 11:30PM, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.40 - $16.40/hr.
