Overview:
Construction company is seeking a highly skilled FP&A Analyst to join their leadership-driven finance team and play a pivotal role in transforming our internal reporting and forecasting capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with strong modeling and reporting skills to make a direct impact on strategic decision-making in a growing, multi-location business.
Key Responsibilities:
Build & Maintain Reporting Infrastructure: Create all internal reporting from the ground up, including financial models, dashboards, and forecasting tools; maintain and refine these over time.
Forecasting: Develop the company’s first formal forecast to track performance by channel and store, with the flexibility to expand reporting to additional departments.
Business Partnering: Collaborate directly with store managers and leadership to design custom models that meet operational needs, translating financial concepts for non-finance partners.
Cross-Functional Support: Assist with external reporting for banking partners, acquisition analysis, and potentially support month-end activities during acquisitions or other major initiatives.
Strategic Initiatives: Participate in future data lake projects and other analytics enhancements.
Qualifications:
BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
3+ years of professional experience, ideally with background in accounting before transitioning into FP&A.
Proven experience building financial models and reports from scratch.
Strong understanding of accounting concepts, balance sheets, and income statements (month-end close experience not required).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI; Alteryx and RFMS (industry-specific ERP) experience is a plus.
