Responsibilities Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services including planning, research, and mergers and acquisitions activities. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering due diligence and tax structuring services, communicating findings and opportunities to clients. Collaborate with senior members of the M&A Tax practice on technical tax issues involving consolidated returns, S Corps, partnerships, LLCs, and LLPs. Assist clients with issues such as bankruptcy emergence planning, debt restructurings, tax basis, earnings and profits, and section 382 studies. Develop, motivate, and train staff-level team members. Uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment with integrity and professionalism. Qualifications Minimum five years of recent experience in federal tax and/or mergers and acquisitions in a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM, or other approved credentials; candidates without these at start have one year to obtain one. Knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters across various industries. Ability to manage multiple engagements and client service teams. Excellent research and writing skills. Additional Information KPMG complies with local regulations regarding salary ranges, which vary by location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), and well-being benefits. Salary ranges for California are $117,100 - $244,800.
