Responsibilities Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services including planning, research, and mergers and acquisitions activities. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering due diligence and tax structuring services, communicating findings and opportunities to clients. Collaborate with senior members of the M&A Tax practice on technical tax issues involving consolidated returns, S Corps, partnerships, LLCs, and LLPs. Assist clients with issues such as bankruptcy emergence planning, debt restructurings, tax basis, earnings and profits, and section 382 studies. Develop, motivate, and train staff-level team members. Uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment with integrity and professionalism. Qualifications Minimum five years of recent experience in federal tax and/or mergers and acquisitions in a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM, or other approved credentials; candidates without these at start have one year to obtain one. Knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters across various industries. Ability to manage multiple engagements and client service teams. Excellent research and writing skills. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), and well-being benefits. Salary ranges for California are $117,100 - $244,800.
