Position Summary

Our Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for advanced line support to maintain production performance, site capital project management, supporting engineering in major initiatives and new product development, and leading reliability & maintenance strategy and education for the plant. This is a hands-on position with an 80/20 split between plant and office responsibilities. You will report to the Engineering Manager and works closely with shop operators, maintenance technicians, plant support services, plant leadership and corporate departments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead reliability, technical, and engineering support for maintenance and production employees to identify and implement sustainable solutions to meet safety, quality, and production objectives
  • \n
  • Participate in site predictive/preventative engineering policies
  • \n
  • Lead root cause analysis and implementation of long-term solutions to prevent recurrences, manage KPI's including run hours, MTBF, and cost to repair
  • \n
  • Lead reliability deep dive analysis, analyze trends and develop projects to address issues of concern, supporting continuous, sustainable improvement
  • \n
  • Lead development and execution of projects as PM, Project Engineer, Subject Matter Expert
  • \n
  • Focus on equipment and systems upgrades in safety, quality, cost reductions, productivity
  • \n
  • Full scope in Project Management and reporting; Development, Justification, Approval, Design, Procurement, Construction, Commission, Start-up, Training, Closure
  • \n
  • Provide subject matter support to cross functional teams for corporate projects and new product initiatives/introductions
  • \n
  • Develop and implement standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the company
  • \n
  • Development and training of production staff in manufacturing processes
  • \n
  • Complete administrative responsibilities including meetings, reports, goals, training, budgets, financials, and expenses to targets and expectations
  • \n
  • Support safety initiatives on the site
  • \n
  • Ability to design processes and find solutions to process problems
  • \n
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles and processes to maximize efficiency
  • \n
  • Coordinate plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration of technical activities
  • \n
  • Retaining current working knowledge of codes and practices
  • \n
  • Assessment and advanced troubleshooting of all manufacturing equipment and lines
  • \n
  • Design and implementation of in-house process improvements in equipment and procedures
  • \n
  • Prepare justification, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of capital contracts
  • \n
  • Support the specific development, design review and validation of purchased equipment
  • \n
  • Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment
  • \n
  • Direct, review, and approve product design and changes
  • \n
  • Develop reliability program education and assessment
  • \n
What we are looking for

  • Bachelor of Science, Engineering
  • \n
  • 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • \n
  • Proficient understanding with ERP, MS Office including Project, Solidworks, 3D printing, 3D modeling, reverse engineering, and GD&T
  • \n
  • Strong cross-functional team communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills
  • \n
  • Cross-functional team leadership to accomplish objectives
  • \n
  • Business Financial and Project Management Skills
  • \n
  • Reliability practice/tool experience- PdM. PPM, RCM
  • \n
  • Safe work practices: NEC, OSHA, LOTO, Guarding, Hot Work, Safe Work
  • \n
  • Planning, execution, monitoring, reporting of PM, CM, and turnaround activities
  • \n

Total Rewards Package

The salary range for this position is USD $66,000.00/Yr. - USD $100,000.00/Yr.

Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
