Brief team/department description:

Medical Affairs at Azurity Pharmaceuticals, a privately held company delivering innovative medicines for overlooked patients across 50+ countries, drives scientific and clinical initiatives with a portfolio of 30+ brands spanning 10 dosage forms and 9 therapeutic areas. The Radiology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a US-based position within the Medical Affairs Department, reporting to the Senior Director of Medical Affairs. This role advances Azurity's radiology-related products and initiatives in the US market through scientific expertise and stakeholder engagement.

Principle Responsibilities:

• KOL and HCP Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with radiology Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), medical thought leaders, and healthcare providers (HCPs) through scientific exchanges to support Azurity's product development and scientific platforms in the US.
• Medical Education and Presentations: Deliver product- and disease-related medical education, including pharmacoeconomic analyses, to internal teams, radiologists, HCPs, managed care organizations, payers, and medical societies in settings like hospitals, academic institutions, and medical congresses.
• Scientific Support: Act as the primary contact for medical and scientific inquiries from radiologists, HCPs, payers, formulary decision-makers, advocacy groups, and internal stakeholders regarding Azurity's radiology products and disease states.
  • Research Collaboration: Support company-sponsored trials, clinical trial site recruitment, and unsolicited Investigator Initiated Research proposals, collaborating with KOLs and investigators on research opportunities and maintaining engagement through trial completion and data publication.
  • Medical and Commercial Support : Assist in medical communications, grant proposals, health economics research, speaker training, Advisory Boards, and sales training on disease state awareness, product information, and competitive landscape in radiology.
  • Expertise Maintenance : Stay current on disease states, clinical information, product data, and competitive landscapes within the imaging therapeutic area.
  • Travel: Up to 60% travel is required to attend medical conferences, engage with KOLs, and support field-based activities within the US. Competitive Intelligence : Attend radiology-focused medical meetings (e.g., RSNA, ARRS) to gather and share scientific and competitive intelligence with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Education : Doctoral-level qualification (PharmD, PhD, MD) preferred, with a strong background in radiology, medical imaging, or related fields.
• Experience :
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience preferred, with at least 2 years as a Medical Science Liaison.
  • Experience in radiology or imaging-related therapeutic areas is highly desirable.
• Skills :
  • Thorough understanding of radiology science, medical imaging standards, and clinical practices.
  • Ability to communicate highly scientific and technical information related to radiology therapeutics and diagnostics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for excellence.
  • Strong writing skills with experience in medical communications, particularly in radiology.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities.
