Overview Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter who will be responsible for reviewing all mortgage loan applications to ensure completeness and compliance with secondary and/or portfolio lending guidelines and policies. Responsibilities Loan File Management Approve loans and make recommendations for loan approval up to established limits. Within department timelines, review loan files for accuracy, completeness and compliance. Review all denied loans for possible lending options to benefit the Member. Educate staff on changes to loan requirements. Identify cross sell opportunities that will benefit the Members and RCU. Ensure confidentiality and safeguard sensitive Member financial information. Recognize and evaluate the loan process and recommend changes that will help maintain maximum efficiency. Review and maintain all product guidelines to ensure accuracy with changes in the industry and changes in RCU loan policies. Audit first mortgage loan files to ensure completeness prior to funding. Develop operational and procedural changes necessary to address any issues or problems noted in quality control reports. #J-18808-Ljbffr JBA International
