Description:

  • Join a team of 7 neurointensivists, alternating weekly coverage at OhioHealths two largest hospitals, Riverside Methodist Hospital and Grant Medical Center
  • See a wide range of cases in our amply staffed 32 bed closed model Neuro Critical Care Unit at Riverside. Riverside, the first Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Ohio, boasts some of the highest patient and procedural volumes in the country. Riverside is a Level II Trauma Center (applying for Level I) with heavy volume neurosurgery center (~12 neurosurgeons) and Level IV Epilepsy Center. Current services are expanding to include NCC consultations at Grant Medical Center. Grant is a Level I Trauma and Primary Stroke Center which sees a high volume of neurotrauma patients. Grant is Ohios busiest Level I Trauma Center & the 5th busiest Trauma Center in the nation.
  • 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, with ~6000 encounters per year
  • No General Neurology call coverage
  • No acute stroke alert coverage
  • Advanced Practice Provider support
  • Research opportunities through the OhioHealth Research Institute, if desired

Requirements:

  • BE/BC in Neurology, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Neurosurgery, or Emergency Medicine through the American Board of Medical Specialties
  • Neuro Critical Care fellowship required
