Amergis Educational Services is seeking a skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support students enrolled in California online public schools. This is a fully remote, part-time position requiring 10–15 hours per week, providing interpretation services in a virtual learning environment.

The ASL Interpreter will facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their teachers, peers, and staff during live online classes and school-related activities.

Responsibilities:
• Provide real-time ASL interpretation for students during online instruction, meetings, and school activities.
• Ensure accurate and clear communication between students, teachers, and staff.
• Adapt signing to match student communication needs and classroom content.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in accordance with school and legal guidelines.
• Collaborate with the educational team to support student success.

Qualifications:
• Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) with excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience interpreting in an educational setting (K–12 preferred).
• RID certification or equivalent credential strongly preferred.
• Comfortable working in a virtual/online classroom environment.
• Reliable internet connection and appropriate technology setup for remote interpreting.
