Job Summary


Transport students to and from the University from various locations in the Portland area,.

Core Duties

• Drivers will drive students in reserved ASUP vans to and from the PDX airport, train station, and Greyhound bus station during the scheduled breaks from school, as well as to and from convenience/grocery stores, and other common locations frequented by UP students throughout the year.
• Pilot Express offers round-trip transportation to all destinations pending availability. At the end of each scheduled ride, drivers will pick up students at each destination and bring them back to campus on the designated pick up day(s)/time(s).
• Drivers will need to communicate effectively with both the Pilot Express Director and the riders.
• Drivers will need to be flexible and be able to adjust to changing circumstances while driving for the Pilot Express.
• Drivers will submit their availability for each break to the director and the director will determine the driving schedule for that break.
• Please keep in mind that each driver will not necessarily be scheduled to drive on the days and times that they are available.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• must hold a valid driver's license
• Drivers must hold a driving record that is absent of any severe violations
• Drivers must be oriented, trained, and certified through Campus Safety Safe Driving Course

Preferred Qualifications

• It is preferred that Drivers have experience driving minivans.
• It is preferred that Drivers have experience driving in inclement weather (heavy rain, wind, and occasionally snow)
