As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Specialist in Valhalla, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a dynamic food and beverage location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all employees and visitors. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond promptly to any security-related concerns, and utilize technology such as computers or tablets as part of your daily duties. Pay Rate: $18.25 - $19.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the food and beverage location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and/or authorizations for individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or vendors while upholding site-specific policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
