Scale Operator, $21/hr – Huger , SC

Responsibilities:

• Instruct and assist pack-line on proper packing instructions according to sales order
• Inspect packages to ensure proper material, size, identification, packaging, sample if required, and weight
• Operator forklift and/or overhead crane to transport materials to and from storage areas
• Weigh package and enter into the AS 400 system, generate tag and document on order ensuring accuracy of entry and documentation

Skills :

• Ability to inspect, weigh, document and identify material through the AS 400 System
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, ability to accurately track and input data in AS 400 system
• Ability to use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with all Forklift and Crain training/certification
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

A Scale Operator weights, measures, and generates tags for finished goods to ensure proper documentation and identification for shipment. This role inspects materials, supplies, and equipment daily. This work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment processes. The temperature of the facility will vary based on the outside weather conditions.
