Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This role offers hands-on experience delivering speech therapy services within an educational setting in the Gloucester, VA area. The position requires commitment to serving students communication needs and collaborating with educators and families to support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language pathology services to assigned caseloads
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech and language skills
• Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to parents, staff, and relevant teams
• Maintain accurate data and complete regular progress notes to track student outcomes

Location Details:

• SLP services are onsite only in Williamsburg, VA, approximately one hour southeast of Richmond, near Newport News, and about one hour northwest of Norfolk.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
• Experience working within school-based settings preferred
• Proficient in conducting evaluations, developing IEPs, and data management
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to engage collaboratively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
