Job Description

A K-12 educational institution in Olympia, WA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students communication development over the upcoming school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with children in a dynamic school environment, contributing to their academic success and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Provide direct services under supervision, including speech therapy exercises and activities tailored to student needs
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Participate in collaborative team meetings to support multidisciplinary approaches
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff regarding student goals and progress

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings preferred
