Slate Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Spearfish, South Dakota.
Registered Nurse - ER- Med Surg
TRAVELER WILL WORK MED SURG ICU AS WELL
Minimal Experience: 1.5 years
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Only with 2+ years of experience
Travelers must live >100 miles away from facility
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler with eligibility to return and/ or internal reference check
Patient Types: All ages traveler will be utilized in all care areas to include ED, ICU and Med Surg Sepsis, DKA, ETOH, ARDS, MI, Trauma, Stroke
Patient Ratios: ED: 1:3-4, ICU: 1:1-2 (dependent on acuity/age), Med Surg: 1:5 (dependent on acuity/age)
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS NIHSS (preferred), CPI (preferred)
Required Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
Skills required: General ED experience, critical care experience for ICU holds, Trauma experience
Comfortability to work all care areas to include ED, ICU and Med Surg
Support on the Unit: Charge nurse: 1 (hospital coordinator), Phlebotomy? yes, IV/VAT Team? no, Resource Nurse: same as charge nurse, RT: yes, Hospitalist: yes, with APP coverage at nights
Charting System: EPIC
Floating: If trained in all then may be floated to ER, MS, /or ICU
Orientation: (facility and unit) 2 days
Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other
Will they be on call? No call
Holiday Expectations: Every other
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
