Overview Wordpress Web Developer (Work From Home) role at Free For Charity. This opportunity focuses on building WordPress websites for nonprofit organizations and developing plugins to integrate services and products used by charities. Responsibilities Build WordPress websites for small charities using the Divi theme and related WordPress tools. Develop plugins to help nonprofits connect their websites with other services and products they use to run their organizations. Work with in-house staff or board members of supported nonprofits, via phone or email, and coordinate primarily through Microsoft Teams. Manage custom development work (custom themes, plugins, or other code) with submission through GitHub. Source and select premium plugins or themes from Free For Charity sources as required or recommended. Requirements Position is remote; most assignments are managed in Microsoft Teams with phone and email communication as needed. Any website design work requires communication with staff or board members of a supported nonprofit. Must be self-motivated and able to work proactively on tasks. Any custom development work must be submitted to GitHub. Any premium plugins or themes must come from Free For Charity’s sources; additional themes may be recommended. Benefits Free website hosting for personal sites (cPanel hosting). Full Microsoft Office 365 Suite for as long as you are volunteering.
