Fit Mumma™ Exercise Classes
At Nurtured Mumma® we offer Yoga and Pilates integrated within Physiotherapy consultations and FitMumma™ Pregnancy + Postnatal Classes and Well Woman Classes.
We can supercharge your treatment programme and help you prepare for birth and postnatal physical demands. We can support your return to general classes, impact activities, sport, fitness and gym work.
Our classes are different to “pure” yoga or Pilates. They are specifically designed for pregnant and postnatal women.
Fit Mumma™ and Well Woman classes are a fun, dynamic combination of Yoga, Pilates and functional exercise with a focus on:
- strengthening and stretching
- centering and balance
- flexibility and mobility
- mindful movement and breath awareness.
Our classes are Physio-led, small, and tailor-made to meet your needs. The classes are also eligible for health extras rebates with most health funds. Non-crawling babies are welcome to join us for the daytime 9.30am classes.
Women with specific issues like pregnancy sickness, reflux, pelvic girdle pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, pelvic floor issues, prolapse, back pains and other pregnancy, postnatal or pre-existing issues can benefit from our classes. We also work with women who have twins or other special considerations in communication with your care team.
If you have pre-existing issues, current concerns or special considerations in pregnancy or the postnatal phase please book an initial assessment prior to attending. You may need some individual sessions or further medical clearance prior to starting an exercise programme.
